Novello is a small gem overlooking the beautiful Tanaro Valley.
Its unique position gives the impression that it is the prow of a ship, ploughing through a sea of hills and pointing straight towards the Alps.
From here, you can enjoy a breathtaking panorama embracing the valley below, the rolling vineyard hills and, on the horizon, the gullies and the elegant profile of Monviso.
What does "Bar to Bar" mean? Barolo-Barbaresco is an alternative way to explore the area, with a route divided into seven stages that takes you through all of the Langhe. Stage no. 6, with a diversion, takes us to Novello, a village perched on a ridge with views of the Alps on one side and the Langhe on the other. A viewpoint that is one of a kind and can be seen from a distance.
Discover the Bar-to-Bar routeIt is famous for its oenological excellence, with vineyards producing some of the Langhe's greatest wines. With its medieval castle and cobbled streets, it offers glimpses of rare beauty and a timeless atmosphere.
Barolo, Dolcetto, Barbera are its finest wines, and thanks to the skilful work of local producers, Nascetta has also been added to this list. This variety has been rediscovered and is now being served at the most demanding tables.
This indigenous white wine, made from grapes that were once on the brink of extinction, is renowned for its elegance, floral aromas and mineral notes that evoke the region.

With a view of the Barolo Langa and Monviso, Novello's municipal wine cellar preserves a unique wine history. The main grape variety is Nascetta, a white variety that almost disappeared in the 1990s. Thanks to the passion of local producers who rediscovered this ancient variety, Nascetta was reborn and obtained independent DOC status in 2012. The Cantina Comunale offers visitors the chance to sample 14 labels of this precious variety, which has been brought back to life like an archaeological treasure.
