In the municipality of Serralunga d'Alba lies the village of Fontanafredda: a gift of love from King Vittorio Emanuele II, who decided to give the estate to Rosa Vercellana, also known as the Bela Rosin. Once you have entered the village and crossed the lake, you will arrive at the entrance to the Forest of Thoughts, a meditation trail located within the last intact forest in the Lower Langa region. The path winds through 12 stages, each representing a different theme, the meaning of which is revealed in a sentence at the entrance.
